Embodying Relaxed Aliveness
“Your awareness is not
your mind. it’s the vastness behind your mind — and the moment you rest there, your whole body begins to open.”
the moment you rest there, your whole body begins to open.”
In this 19-minute teaching, John addresses one of the most common struggles men face in sexual polarity practice: getting caught in the mental checklist of “doing it right” instead of actually feeling and responding to what’s happening in their partner’s body in the moment.
John breaks down the micro-refinements that can shift everything: soft shoulders, soft hands, soft eyes, but fully alive. He explains why certain body-mind habits show up (the nervous smile, leaning forward with your face instead of your heart, raised shoulders) and how these are signs your nervous system is upregulated. You’ll learn specific tools like breath work and jaw release to down-regulate back into presence.
These refinements can make all the difference in the energetic flow of intimacy. When your body is tight and upregulated, you can’t actually feel your partner or respond to what’s happening. But when you’re soft and alive, your awareness moves from thinking to feeling, and you start responding naturally
to the moment.
The core teaching is about letting go of the idea that there’s somewhere to get where love is guaranteed and fear disappears. Instead, the practice is saying YES to whatever is actually happening in the moment – nervousness, your partner pulling away physically or energetically, your own collapse. We are reminded that we’re not here to perform but, rather to love well. And, that only happens when we stop thinking our way through and start feeling and responding to what’s alive right now.
Key Insights include:
- Relaxed aliveness is the foundation of embodied presence True depth is not rigid or tense. The masculine becomes most trustable when the body is soft, the breath deep, and the awareness wide.
- Nervous-system habits shape intimacy more than intention Smiles, tension, leaning forward, collapsing: these are unconscious upregulation patterns. Awareness and breath are the tools that re-train them.
- Presence isn’t performance, it’s opening to what’s here The mind wants to “fix,” “achieve,” or “get somewhere,” but real practice is simply opening to the moment, even if what’s present is fear or nervousness.
- The Great Tantric Springboard is YES There’s nowhere to get where love is guaranteed and fear disappears. The practice is saying yes to what is. Yes to nervousness. Yes to your partner pulling away. Yes to this moment exactly as it is. When you stop trying to fix it and start opening to it, everything shifts.
ACCOMPANYING PRACTICE: Breath Partner Practice Part 1 & 2
Part 1
Part 1
Part 2
In this two-part practice, John guides you into one of the most essential foundations of masculine embodiment: using breath to awaken the inner body, circulate sexual energy, and deepen presence with a feminine partner.
The first part is a solo practice: a training ground where you learn to breathe into every quadrant of your lungs, pack energy into your lower body, and circulate it through the spine. This awakens the central channel, builds sensitivity, and expands your capacity to feel from the inside out.
The second part takes that same breath into partnered practice. With your breath matching hers, you learn to feel her through the front of her body (her heart, her belly, her emotional depth) and breathe her open with devotion. Through eye contact, shared rhythm, and intentional presence, breath becomes the bridge that unifies two bodies into one field of consciousness.
Together, these practices train the masculine nervous system to stay open, attentive, and deeply feeling. These are the qualities that form the core of making love from presence rather than habit.
This is breath as devotion. Breath as intimacy. Breath as the pathway to feeling another human being more deeply than they’ve ever been felt.
