Year one
IMMERSION
Your first year is a full immersion into the practices of Masculine & Feminine Embodiment, Sexual Polarity and Sacred Intimacy.
In this year, you receive. You practice. You discover the places where the work is already alive in you and where you need to grow. This is a time to find your edges and explore new parts of yourself.
Year two
REFINEMENT
Year 2 is about marination, repetition, and developing the skills of teaching. While continuing to deepen your own practice, you’ll begin to focus on what it takes to meticulously create space for transformation. In year 2, you’ll now have opportunities to teach, assist immersions, and receive rigorous feedback from your peers.
Year three
TRANSMISSION
Year 3 is where everything converges. You are the teaching. Your practice is no longer something you just do. It lives in you. Year 3 is about transmission: refining your voice, learning to hold an entire room, and building offerings that reflect your unique gifts.
You’ll teach to the full student body and receive direct, personalized feedback from your teachers. You’ll discover what’s working, what’s brilliant, and what still needs attention.
You won’t just know the fundamentals of masculine embodiment, feminine embodiment, and sexual polarity — you’ll make your own art with them.

JOHN WINELAND
John brings a multi-faceted approach, which is both energetic and highly practical, to his trainings and long-term programs. His embodiment-driven teaching draws from not only over 40 years experience of his own Buddhist meditative practice, but from 16 years intensive study, practice and co-teaching with renowned yogic intimacy teacher, David Deida.
John has developed a unique, world renowned framework for teaching both men’s work and Sacred Intimacy. Drawing from multiple deep Tantric lineages, Taoist and martial arts practice, and shamanic traditions. John seeks to create a profound experience for anybody longing to deepen their capacity in Love, relationship and Sexual Intimacy.
KENDRA CUNOV
Kendra Cunov co-founded Authentic World & Fierce Grace, as well as the Embodied Relationship Training Salon (with John Wineland), and pioneered some of the most cutting-edge relational work on the planet.
Kendra has worked with thousands of men, women, and couples in the areas of embodiment, intimacy, communication, and full self-expression.
She works with organizations and leaders, as well as men, women, and couples, who know that embodied presence, truth, connection, and integrity are our truest access points to success—in business and in love.

Travis Streb is a coach, facilitator, and practitioner devoted to embodied leadership, intimacy, polarity, and living with greater integrity, presence, love, and freedom. He helps men, couples, and leaders meet themselves honestly, unwind old patterns, and turn deep practice into a life that feels grounded, alive, and true.
Kiana Reeves
Kiana Reeves is somatic sexologist, teacher of embodiment, and sexual polarity. She has been guiding women and couples for 10+ years into deeper intimacy, erotic embodiment, and lasting love.

Allan McGrath Isbell is a relationship and intimacy coach, teacher, and founder of the men’s work organization Thirteen Pines, who has guided thousands of men, women, and couples toward deep union, sexual polarity, and embodied transformation.
Jennifer Vega
Jennifer Vega is a teacher of embodiment, sacred intimacy, and leadership, and the Program Director for all John Wineland offerings. A certified teacher of feminine embodiment, she has trained and practiced in this work for over eight years, holding and facilitating the organization’s programs and co-teaching in the women’s program and public immersion. Through her work in the organization and her private trainings and coaching, she guides women toward deeper intimacy, more fulfilling relationships, and lives rooted in presence, aliveness, and love.
HOW THIS PROGRAM WORKS
This program is experiential in nature, closer to how martial arts or dance are taught than any academic or certification model. You won’t just intellectualize these teachings. You’ll be shaped by them, challenged by them, and held to them.
Technique matters, but the capacity to teach is ultimately cumulative. It is built through personal depth of practice, not just your hours logged in practice or concepts understood.
A note on certification: completing three years does not automatically result in certification. The final certification process is both teacher and peer-reviewed and is based on your practice, transmission, and teaching. Certification in sexual polarity is the most advanced teaching track and typically requires more than three years within the program.

What's Inside the Program?
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Each program year includes 330 hours of practice and training. The core of the program is the monthly 3-hour program call and three 6-day in-person immersions. You will also participate in monthly practice calls, teaching cohorts, receive mentorship, and do weekly homework.
ASSISTANT TRAINING FOR CERTIFICATION
Assisting immersions is one of the most important experiential components of this training. When you assist, you practice meticulous structure, agility, and awareness of space, self, and other. These are the foundational capacities of anyone holding deep transformational work. Assistant training begins in Year 2 and is required for certification.
MENTORSHIP
Beginning in Year 2, you’ll receive tailored mentorship designed to deepen your practice, sharpen your teaching, and refine your transmission.
TEACHING COHORTS
Teaching cohorts are focused on specific areas of study. Cohorts may be offered on masculine and feminine practice, sexual polarity, shadow work, or building a new offering. Cohorts are led by advanced students, and create a culture of teaching, feedback, and refinement within the program.
PRACTICE & HOMEWORK
Your personal practice and homework are foundational to your participation, not supplementary. Assignments may be individual or group-based, and are designed to integrate what you’re learning into your daily life.
MONTHLY EMBODIMENT PRACTICE
Monthly practice sessions are led by 2nd and 3rd year students and serve two purposes. If you’re leading: you create an offering, teach it, and receive direct feedback. If you’re attending: you practice the art of clear, precise feedback which is an essential and often underestimated skill in this lineage.
CERTIFICATION
Those who complete 3 years of the 1000-Hour Teacher Training will be considered for certification. Certification in masculine embodiment, feminine embodiment, or sexual polarity is rigorous and not guaranteed. The certification process includes a peer review of your unique offering, transmission, and arc of personal practice. You may be asked to complete additional training in order to receive certification.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Throughout your 2nd and 3rd year, you will be given opportunities to teach and receive feedback intended to refine your teaching skill, offering, and deepen your transmission. For certification track participants, you may be invited to teach masculine & feminine embodiment or sexual polarity practices during the private immersions. Other teaching opportunities include the monthly practice calls and teaching cohorts.

- If you are not accepted into the program, the deposit is fully refundable.
- If you withdraw from the application process before your interview, it is refundable less a $150 processing fee.
- If you are invited into the program, the deposit is applied toward your tuition balance and becomes non-refundable and transferable for use towards other John Wineland offerings within one-year.

Who this is for
Why would I join the 1000-Hour Teacher Training?
This is our most advanced long-term program. It is equal parts teacher training, advanced practice, and deep personal transformation.
Some people come because they want to learn to teach masculine and feminine embodiment, sexual polarity, and sacred intimacy. Others come because they want to take their own practice further than a workshop, retreat, or shorter program can.
Either way, this is not a passive learning environment. You will practice, teach, receive feedback, work through the patterns that limit your expression, and uncover the unique offering that is yours to bring to the world.
You will be held in a circle of committed practitioners who will ask more of you than you would ask of yourself.
The full certification path is a three-year journey. You enroll one year at a time.
Do I need to be on the certification track to join?
No.
You do not have to be on the certification track to participate. Many students join for the depth of practice, the advanced teachings, the community, and the transformation that comes from being inside the container.
If you are not pursuing certification, you still participate fully in the calls, intensives, practice groups, teaching cohorts, the community, and any other program specific requirements. The main difference is that you are not required to complete the teaching assessments and other certification-specific requirements.
Is this program for beginners?
No. This is advanced work, and it asks for a foundation of practice.
You do not need to be a professional teacher or advanced practioner, but you do need real experience with either embodiment practice, intimacy work, polarity, or related inner work. The program moves quickly and goes deep, so it is important that you arrive with enough grounding to participate responsibly.
If you are newer to this work, that is wonderful. We would encourage you to begin with John’s workshops, online programs, or shorter immersions first. When you have more foundation, the Teacher Training may be the right next step
Is this a trauma-healing program?
No. This is an advanced practice and teacher training, not a trauma-healing program or a substitute for therapy.
Our teachers and faculty are trauma-informed, which means they understand trauma and hold the space with care, skill, and responsibility. But the purpose of this program is not to process acute trauma or provide therapeutic treatment.
If you are currently in an active trauma-healing process, this may not be the right container for you right now and is something you would share on your application. During your interview we will discuss if Teacher Training is the right time for where you are at. We also encourage you to have appropriate outside support in place before applying.
If you carry past sexual trauma, you are not automatically excluded. This work includes sexuality, intimacy, embodiment, and sexual polarity, so past material can surface. We simply ask that you have your own support outside the program, such as a therapist, somatic practitioner, or trusted guide, so you are held both inside and outside the training.
Is there an application or interview?
Yes. Enrollment is by application and interview, not first come, first served.
This is important for everyone. The interview gives us a chance to make sure the program is the right fit, the right level, and the right timing for your life. It also gives you a chance to ask questions, name any special circumstances, and feel whether this is the right commitment for you.
We are building a deeply committed training container, and fit matters.
Is this training for me?
This may be for you if:
- You already have a foundation in embodiment, intimacy, polarity, or related inner and/or transformational work.
- You feel called to teach, facilitate, coach, guide, or lead from deeper embodied transmission in your business and life, and relationships.
- You want a serious 9-month container for practice, feedback, community, and personal transformation.
- You are willing to be challenged, receive reflections, refined, and shaped by the practices, your teachers and your peers.
- You can attend all three in-person intensives and participate consistently in the monthly calls and practice spaces within the program.
This may not be for you if:
- You are brand new to embodiment or polarity work.
- You are looking primarily for a trauma-healing program or therapeutic container.
- You cannot attend the intensives in full.
- You want information more than practice.
- You are not available for honest feedback, personal responsibility, and the level of commitment this work asks for.
What you will learn
What will I actually learn?
At its heart, this is the study of masculine and feminine embodiment, sexual polarity, and sacred intimacy as an art.
It is about the presence it takes to lead others in this work, to live it more fully yourself, and to bring it into a devotional practice in your life.
You will deepen your own practice first. From there, you will learn how to create and lead practices, give and receive feedback, refine your unique offering, and develop the presence and skill required to guide others.
This is not only about learning techniques. It is about becoming the kind of practitioner who can hold a room, feel what is happening beneath the surface, create safe and powerful practice spaces, and lead from lived experience rather than concept.
The training is experiential rather than classroom-style. Like martial arts, dance, yoga, or meditation, you learn through practice, repetition, feedback, refinement and direct experience.
What does an in-person intensive look like?
Each in-person intensive is six days and follows a consistent rhythm.
The first two days are focused on the craft of teaching. You will work with Core Faculty on designing and leading practices, giving and receiving feedback, developing your voice, and strengthening your capacity to hold a room.
The remaining days are led by John and Kendra and focus on advanced practice, deep embodiment, intimacy, polarity, and the inner work required to clear what gets in the way of your transmission.
The days are long, experiential, and practice-based. You can expect live group practice, teaching, feedback, Q&A, partner and small-group work, and meal breaks between sessions.
Certification
What is certification?
Certification is only considered after you complete all three years of the 1000-Hour Teacher Training. Completing three years does not automatically guarantee you will get certified.
What we guarantee is the training itself: the teaching, the practice, the community, the feedback, and the opportunity to be shaped by the work over time
Certification is earned through a rigorous review process that takes into account your unique offering, your transmission, your teaching capacity, your relationship to feedback, and your overall arc of growth as a practitioner and teacher.
You may be asked to complete additional training, assisting, or practice before certification is granted.
There are three certifications offered: Masculine Embodiment, Feminine Embodiment and Sexual Polarity.
Certification in sexual polarity generally takes longer than three years. The three-year program is the foundation. For many practitioners, certification continues to unfold beyond the formal training, which reflects the real depth and responsibility this work asks for.
Will I get teaching experience?
Yes.
Teaching experience is built into the program, primarily in Years Two and Three. You will have opportunities to create and lead practices, receive structured feedback, support peers, participate in teaching cohorts, and refine your capacity to hold a room of practitioners.
Students pursuing certification are also required to assistant intensives as part of their training starting in year 2. Assisting is a practice in itself and supports in deepening your energetic range, teaches you to hold structure, feel a room and refine your personal practice.
Investment and commitment
What is the investment?
Tuition is $18,000 for one year of the three-year program. A $2500 deposit is required to receive your application and enter the interview process. If accepted, the $2500 will go towards the balance of tuition. And, there are payment plans available.
Each year of the program is enrolled and paid for separately. You are not financially committing to all three years at once.

What should I budget for the in-person intensives?
Travel, lodging, and meals are not included in tuition.
Costs vary depending on where you are traveling from, how you choose to stay, and whether you share accommodations or transportation with other students.
As a rough planning estimate, we recommend budgeting around $1,500 to $2,500 per intensive, depending on where you are traveling from.
Some students spend less by sharing housing and rental cars. Others spend more depending on flights, lodging, and personal travel preferences.
Are the monthly calls required?
Yes. Monthly training and practice calls are required.
This program depends on consistent presence. The monthly calls keep the field connected between intensives and support the steady development of your practice, teaching, and integration.
We understand that life happens. If you need to miss a call, that can be discussed. If you miss more than two calls over the year, we will assess your participation with you, especially if you are on the certification track.
Are the in-person intensives required?
Yes. All three in-person intensives are required.
The intensives are the heart of the program. The work builds across the full arc of each intensive, and your presence affects the whole training container.
You cannot miss an intensive, and you cannot miss days within one.
If you cannot commit to attending all three intensives in full, this is likely not the right year to enroll. We would rather you join in a year when you can be fully present.
How much time does the program require?
The time you commit to your practice and community are dependent on how serious you are about your training.
This is not the kind of training you attend while also managing work, calls, or outside obligations during monthly calls and in-person intensives. What you receive from the program is directly related to the presence, responsibility, and devotion you bring.
What is expected of me during the monthly calls and intensive days?
This is a significant year-long commitment, and it runs from September through June.
Each month includes a three-hour training call, a group practice call, monthly live embodiment practice calls, mentorship, teaching cohorts, homework, and personal practice, and three six-day in-person intensives.
This is not the kind of training you attend while also managing work, calls, or outside obligations. What you receive from the program is directly related to the presence, responsibility, and devotion you bring.
Beyond the scheduled sessions, you will want a consistent personal practice. This is not something to fit around the edges of your life. It is a real training path, and it asks to become part of the rhythm of your year.
MONTHLY CALLS
For every call you are expected to show up on time, be on a computer and not a phone, be in a private place where you can practice without distraction, be well lit so you can be seen, be on video for the duration of the call, not be in your car or on a walk. You should also give yourself a 20-30 minute buffer before and after each call to prepare and integrate. Monthly calls will include partner paired practice and breakout rooms.
IN-PERSON INTENSIVES
Plan to be in practice from approximately 10:00am to 10:30pm each day, except Sundays, when we typically end at 6pm.
These are long, full, immersive days of live practice. You will need to clear your schedule, arrange work and family coverage in advance, and come prepared to be fully present.
You will need to show up the day before session begins and leave the day after. There are no late arrivals or early departures, so plan travel accordingly.
Applying
How do I know if this is the right year to apply?
This may be the right year if you feel a clear pull toward deeper practice, more honest feedback, real community, and a more embodied relationship to your teaching, leadership, intimacy, and offering.
It may not be the right year if you are in a season where you cannot attend the intensives, cannot make the monthly calls, do not have space for personal practice, or need a therapeutic container more than an advanced training container.
The interview will help clarify fit.
What happens after I pay my deposit?
You will see a pop-up that includes a link to the application. This will also be sent to you via email. We encourage you to set aside approximately 45 minutes to complete it in a quiet, distraction-free environment where you can thoughtfully consider each question and respond with honesty and care.
After you submit your application you will directed to a screen with a link to schedule your 45 minute interview. The interview is where we discuss your background, your practice, your desire for the training, your readiness, your questions, and any logistical or personal considerations.
If you are invited into the program, you will receive next steps for enrollment, tuition, preparation, and onboarding. Initiation the balance of your tuition is due 72 hours after you receive your invitation.
